NEWS BULLETIN 2026 Recent developments in Early Learning and Childcare Licensing has placed priority on fulfilling Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements. In line with this Breath for Life will still provide Standard Childcare Level B specific training if requested based on this online registration, however, the Intermediate (Standard) First Aid Level C course is what is recommended for Daycares and Dayhomes as per Childcare Licensing and OH&S. It is highly recommended that you take the Intermediate (Standard) First Aid Course if registering for a Full Course. If you are registering for a Childcare Recert course, your certificate is transferrable to the Intermediate (Standard) First Aid Renewal Course. If you remain interested in taking a Standard Childcare First Aid Level B course please proceed with your registration using this form.

Must-Knows before you Register:
• If you are a Daycare or Day Home with more than 2 registrations, you may request a multiple registration form to ease the process of registering each person individually. Please Email: breathforlifeinc@shaw.ca for the form.
• As Red Cross Accounts must be created and verified, you must bring your cell phone with you: your phone must have data to connect to wifi.
Breath for Life’s address is 4443 – 99 st.: we are not located at any other address within Edmonton and have no affiliations with any other First Aid and CPR company in Edmonton or Alberta.
• For unknown reasons, emails sometimes end up in junk or spam. Please check this folder for your Confirmation/Receipt from Breath for Life, and/or information from the Red Cross.
• Know the email that you provide when you enter it within this registration form. This is the default email that will be used to send you your official confirmation/receipt from Breath for Life. If there is an email input error, you will not receive an email.
• Please bring indoor footwear: slippers, socks, comfortable and clean indoor shoes. Footwear worn outside must be removed as we endeavor to keep our facility clean, safe and comfortable for all who register into a course.
• Please avoid using perfumes and colognes that may trigger an asthmatic attack. A medical emergency occurred recently for which EMS had to respond: this event could have been avoided.
• Please bring to your course the following: paper, pens, snacks, beverages etc. • Please dress comfortably in modest attire.
• Please carry a smile and a friendly greeting to those who you will meet and greet you at Breath for Life.

Breath for Life Inc does not offer an Emergency Childcare First Aid course. This course does not meet Social Services requirements for a Childcare course in Alberta.

A Red Cross account is mandatory to receive your certificate. If you are a Childcare Recert and have taken this course through a Canadian Red Cross provider you have a pre-existing account that was defined by your email and Last Name.

The Canadian Red Cross will issue your certificate to your Red Cross account a few days after course completion. You may set up this account by following the following directions: Set up Account. Your Red Cross account is defined by your name and email that you use to create your account. You become the account holder. If you use your account to register someone into this course, or are using someone else’s account to register into this course, the certificate will be in the account holder’s name. The Red Cross does not allow for account sharing.
