Red Cross Psychological First Aid
The Psychological First Aid course focuses on helping participants develop skills to recognize the impact of stress, loss, trauma and grief on others, with an emphasis on self-care and personal protection. Through two online learning modules, Care for Self and Care of Others, participants will develop an understanding and plan of action to achieve personal well-being with the goal of helping others during a psychological event. During the in-class portion, participants will use the Look, Listen, Link and Live model to practice helping people in need, by working through various case scenarios. This course has been recognized/endorsed by: The Alberta College of Social Workers, The Alberta College of Paramedics (30 credits for Continuing Competency), and Alberta Health Services (Continuing Education Credits for Paramedics and Allied Health Staff).

- Time: 8:00 – 5:30 pm
- Duration: 1 day
- Cost: $150+GST = $157.50
- (Includes Participant book, self-study online modules, and Look, Listen, Link, Live cards)
- Certificate: The Red Cross will issue you an e-certificate which will be available in your Red Cross user account (in-class details will be provided). Certificates are valid for three years.
