Red Cross BLS Provider Instructor Bridging Course
NOTE: This course is only open to current Red Cross First Aid Instructors (FAIs) who wish to transfer to a Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor (BLSI) status. When this 6 hour Red Cross BLS Provider course is completed, the FAI will qualify to complete the final step of training which is an online component (Step #2) found in their MyRC account.
The Red Cross BLS Provider CPR Course (previously called CPR-HCP), is the required CPR course for Healthcare Providers (HCP) ie. nurses, dental professionals, rescue teams, fire and EMS to name a few. This course is a 6 hour CPR only course and does NOT include First Aid content. This course, taught by professionals, includes adult, child and baby CPR with AED training. It focuses on the delivery of healthcare provider skills including Bag Valve Mask use, Airway Adjuncts, Oxygen Therapy, Pulse Checks, and the various CPR ratios across the different age groups. This course also focuses on Team Dynamics to achieve high quality CPR. Emphases is placed on the important steps to perform a rapid assessment and the delivery of BLS skills including defibrillation. - Cost: $100+GST=$105.00
- Certificate: On completion of the course an e-certificate will be issued to your Red Cross user account. Instructor certificates are valid for one (1) year.
